Meet

Amy

Amy became a licensed midwife to empower mothers and return birth to women! Using evidenced-based, natural birth techniques, she offers quality, personalized, comprehensive prenatal, birth & postpartum care for home birthbirth center  and water birth. While Amy is licensed and carries medications, she advocates a holistic approach, trusting nutrition and herbs to prepare for birth, during labor and postpartum. Only reaching for medications if absolutely needed.

Amy inspires and educates mothers to make informed choices in their own health. She trusts in a woman's body and has faith in the natural process of pregnancy, birth, and rhe post-partum period.

Amy adores her family which includes a doting husband, 6 active children, her supportive parents, a fun-loving Alaskan malamute and now a kitty (who nurses from the dog). Amy loves mothering, home-schooling, and exercising. But more than anything, she loves helping her clients recognize their strength and become empowered as they make important choices about their birth, health, babies & families.

Meet
Catharine

We work to design individual care that considers your desires and health while seeking the best evidence-based care through education and informed consent.

We know that each mother, pregnancy, labor, birth, and newborn are unique; no two are the same and nor ever will be.

This dedication stems from the Midwives Model of Care as defined by Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA), the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM), the Midwifery Education Accreditation Council (MEAC), and Citizens for Midwifery (CfM)

This model of care translates into collaboration between you and your midwife.   We look forward to journeying with you during this adventure.

Catharine joined the team in 2021, bringing extensive emergency experience, having trained as an army medic. She became a licensed midwife in 2022 and has exceptional therapeutic and emotional intelligence skills, and provides unparalleled love and support to mothers during prenatal, birth, and postpartum care.

She is a fabulous wife & mother to 6 children (the most recent baby born at home in 2022)! Nursing babies for 14 years (and counting), has given her a considerable amount of experience, which she willingly shares with our clients.

In her spare time, she is an avid "cross-fitter", home-steader and researcher of all things nutrition and home birth.
